Auto-renewal terms

Last updated: May 19, 2026

ClickCerts subscriptions automatically renew for successive 12-month terms unless cancelled. This page explains how auto-renewal works, how we notify you before each renewal, and how to cancel.

Who these terms apply to

ClickCerts is sold only to businesses for use in their internal security awareness training programs. ClickCerts is not sold to consumers, and every subscription is held by a company entity rather than by an individual in their personal capacity. These auto-renewal terms apply to direct subscriptions purchased through ClickCerts. Subscriptions purchased through a reseller or managed service provider are governed by the separate agreement between you and that reseller.

How auto-renewal works

  • Each subscription term is 12 months from the date your service begins.
  • At the end of each term, your subscription automatically renews for another 12-month term at the then-current pricing for your tier and seat count.
  • Annual plans are billed in full at the start of each renewal term. Monthly plans, where available, continue to bill on the same monthly cadence and the 12-month commitment carries forward to the renewal term.
  • If your seat count grew during the prior term, the renewal reflects the new seat count.

Renewal reminders

We send reminder emails to the billing contact on your account60 days and 30 days before the end of each current term. If our published pricing has changed since you started service, the 60-day reminder includes the new pricing so you have time to evaluate before renewal occurs.

How to cancel renewal

You can cancel auto-renewal in either of two ways:

  • From your billing portal. Sign in to ClickCerts and open your billing portal, then select "Cancel subscription." Cancellation stops auto-renewal at the end of your current paid term — you keep full access through the date you have already paid for, and you will not be billed for the next term.
  • By email. Send a cancellation request tosales@clickcerts.com from the email address on file for your account. We will confirm receipt within two business days and apply the cancellation effective at the end of your current paid term.

Cancellation is not retroactive. Amounts already paid for the current term are not refunded.

What happens to your data after cancellation

Certificates issued before cancellation remain valid through their printed expiry date. Account data is retained for at least 90 days after the end of your paid term so you can export completion records and certificates if needed. You may request earlier deletion of your account data at any time by emailingsales@clickcerts.com.

Pricing changes at renewal

Renewal pricing is the pricing published atclickcerts.com/pricing at the time of renewal for your seat tier, applied to your current seat count. If that pricing differs from your initial term, we will include the new price in the 60-day renewal reminder.

State law notices

ClickCerts is a business-to-business service. Many state automatic-renewal laws — including those in California, Colorado, New York, Illinois, and Vermont — apply to consumer transactions and exempt B2B subscriptions. Regardless of whether a particular state law applies to your subscription, ClickCerts voluntarily follows the core protections those laws describe: clear renewal disclosure, advance written reminders before each renewal, and a simple cancellation method.

Changes to these terms

We may update these auto-renewal terms from time to time. If we make material changes that affect your renewal — for example, changing the notice cadence or cancellation method — we will notify the billing contact on your account at least 30 days before the change takes effect, leaving enough time to cancel before the change applies to you.
